“Unlock Your True Potential: 10 Reasons Why Midlife is the Time to Stop Giving a F*ck!”

Listen, we all know that life is too short. By now, we feel it in our bones and it’s a real vibe for us Gen Xers and Midlifers. Here’s 10 reasons why:

  1. Our knees are too creaky to bend over backwards for anyone.
  2. We’ve learned to appreciate the simple things in life, like a good margarita!
  3. We no longer feel the need to impress anyone with our dance moves.
  4. We’ve stopped caring about the opinions of people we haven’t seen in 20 years.
  5. We remember when phones were for making crank calls, not for playing video games. (Except Candy Crush)
  6. We’ve discovered that true happiness can’t be bought on Amazon. (But we still try)
  7. Weโ€™ve learned to focus on our own life and ignore the haters.
  8. We realize that time is precious and nobody else is going to give it back.
  9. You can finally stop pretending to like things you donโ€™t.
  10. You have less trouble telling people what you really think, and you don’t lose sleep over their feelings about it anymore!

That’s this week’s Top 10 list. What else can you add to the list? What’s changed for you? Are you feeling better in your skin? About your life? For me it was the getting over being the people pleaser. Anyway, enjoy this meme and don’t forget to check out my Merch store! Just click on the Pic!

  1. You have finally given up on having a “career” and no longer care whether your boss or the boss’s sycophants like you. We know what we are doing. Just stay out of our damn way, and it will all be fine.

  2. So happy when I see your blog post in my inbox! Another one that makes me laugh and hit the right spot! I will check out your merch. So a mid-life thought for me has been, โ€œWhy the h#&& not? What do I have to lose? Why not give it a shot?โ€ This permission to just go for it has helped me try things like blogging, getting chickens, and traveling with girlfriends. Never knew how much I would love mid-life!

  3. forget what former friends think, I’ve given up worrying about what strangers think of me. My hair is eggplant, I dance in the grocery store (just Trader Joes – they dance with me) and snort when I laugh. I’ve given up trying to fit in and am trying to stand out!
